Gould Paper Corporation Appoints David H. Berkowitz President and Chief Executive Officer

Gould Paper Corporation announced the appointment of David H. Berkowitz as President and Chief Executive Officer effective May 1. Mr. Berkowitz replaces Mr. Harry E. Gould, Jr. who had been the President and CEO since 1969.

Previously, Mr. Berkowitz served as Gould’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In his new role, Mr. Berkowitz will continue to work out of Gould’s Corporate Headquarters at 99 Park Avenue in New York City.

Mr. Berkowitz began his career in 1970 with Central Paper Company, which was founded by his grandfather in Newark, New Jersey in 1920. Mr. Berkowitz joined Gould Paper Corporation in 2007 after the sale of Central Lewmar in 2005 to private equity investors. At the time of the sale, Mr. Berkowitz was Central Lewmar’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
